If only, Kennedy. If only...

This morning, the girls and I had a little conversation that went something like this...

Gwen:  When I grow up I want a BMW convertible... like Bianca's (oh good, they only start at $85,000) or a punch buggy (breathe again).
Kennedy:  Yeah, I want a BMW convertible or a car like that one (a Mercedes SUV).

I think I can actually hear the moans and groans of their future husbands at this moment...

Gwen: When I get married, I'm going to make my husband buy me that car.
Me: (taking advantage of this teaching moment ;) Well actually, when you get married, hopefully both of you will have jobs and then you put your money together and together you make decisions as to how you will spend it.
Kennedy:  Or you fight.  Like you and Dad.
Me: Well, actually, Kennedy, whenever you have 2 people making a decision, you're going to have times when you don't agree, so you have to talk it through.
Kennedy:  Or fight.
Me:  Or talk it through.
Kennedy:  Or maybe you should just play "roshambo".

Hmm, maybe the girl's on to something here.  I can already see it...

Ben:  No, I don't think we should (insert argument discussion topic of choice).
Sara:  Well, I think we should really consider (alternate side of discussion).

Together:  Wait.  Let's roshambo.

I think it'd work brilliantly. ;)
