It's great to be 5...

So our Tito turned 5 this year.
And apparently that is a huge milestone, as we've been celebrating for quite some time now. ;)

But we all knew it was going to be a great birthday when we were able to kick it off
Grandpa Ben and Grandma Judy style. ;)

I mean, honestly, how can you not have a good time with grandparents like these? ;)

Now, when asked what he'd like to do for his birthday,
Ty clearly announced,
"I want to go to Chuck E Cheese and put all our tickets together so that we can get cotton candy".
So, you want us to go to Chuck's so you can get a $2 treat?
I think we can make that happen... ;)

We found our most beautiful friends...

and partied hard for our cotton candy.

We even finished it up with brownie sundaes,
candles and all.

Next on the birthday docket, was a little trip to the local Sunsplash golf course
followed by a trip to Toys R Us,
with Grandpa Dean and Grandma Buzz.

Which was, unfortunately, too much fun (mixed w/ just a little bit of competitive ;) to take any pics. :(

Which brought us to the actual day.
November 22, 2010.
We celebrated from the moment he woke up.
Literally.
Thank you Naimo family.
And thank you Bennett,
for taking all those pics. ;)

After delicious breakfast burritos,
the boys put in a little time on Dad's Ipad.
According to this kid - perfect start to his day. ;)

That night Ty rung in year number 5 with lots and lots of family...
and lots and lots of fun.
Such as taking the first bite of cake...
like an animal. ;)

Oh yes, he did. ;)

Next he got to cut the cake.
What?!?
Who gave the 5 year old the machete?

He even got to serve it.
Yeah, I'd take a piece of cake from this guy any day. ;)

But, perhaps my favorite birthday memory of all, had to have been when Ty and his really cool dad
took his new shiny red remote control car to the top of the parking garage at The Grove
and took turns racing (running) against the car while the other one steered.
And of course, "The humans always won".
That is why Dad is "your buddy".
Even though I do everything else for you. ;)

So, our dear Tito,

We cannot express how much we love you.
But we'll keep trying every day.
We pray that you will always keep your spunk and hearty laughter and that you will love God more with each passing year.

Happy Birthday, Titus.
And may you have many, many more...

We love you, punk.  ♥♥♥

oh wow. how gracious of you... we get credit for that lame-o sign while the rest of the day was spent with you buying gifts for MY children.

ty, you can spend your birthday with us anytime. :)

and also, that great picture of the beach... it doesn't look nearly as frigid as it actually was. i think i started shivering again when i saw it. :)

Looks like a WONDERFUL birthday celebration(s)! Watching Ty eat cake "like an animal" made me laugh out loud!
