P is for...

 Perfection.

The word I'd use to describe my Mother's Day.
I loved my breakfast in bed.
I loved hearing the sound of the sander restoring some youth to our patio furniture.
I loved my nap. ;)
I loved spending time with my family.
And I loved my gifts.

Like my flowers.

Or my cookies.
Oh wait, no photo, since it's difficult to take pictures of cookies being devoured by a pack of wild dogs. ;)

And my beloved cards, which reflected so much of the kids' personalities this year.

Gwen's card showed she's a big fan of the acrostic and the
"it doesn't matter if my markers bleed through the paper or I mix up the first couple phrases of my poem
mentality because Mom will still love it.
And you know what?  She's right. ;)

My favorite line of Kennedy's card is...
"I know my Mom is smart because she "says I'm the smartest".
Oh, we're so afraid she's going to get lost in the crowd like so many middle children do... ;)

And we're pretty sure Ty wrote his in Chinese. ;)

And even though, the cards are truly my favorite part of any celebratory occasion,
my new Kindle, cover and gift card were pretty cool too. ;)

Thanks little Garates (and Ben ;) for making this day perfect in every way!
I feel so blessed to be your mom!
